Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what TamiltoLyrics (tamiltolyrics.com) collects, what it does not, and who else may see your data when you visit.

What we do not collect

  • There are no accounts, sign-ups, comments or forms on the site, so we do not collect names, emails or passwords.
  • Searches run in your browser. The song index is downloaded to your device and searched there, so the words you type are not sent to us.
  • We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this page before it happens.

Preferences stored on your device

To remember your choices, the site saves small settings in your browser's local storage — for example the lyrics tab you prefer (Tamil, English letters or line by line), your lyrics text size, and whether you browse letters in English or Tamil. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and date and time. We use this information to keep the site running securely and to understand overall traffic. It is not used to identify you personally.

Third parties your browser may contact

Some content on our pages is loaded from other services, which means your browser contacts them directly and they receive your IP address and standard browser details:

  • Google Fonts — for the logo typeface.
  • Image hosts — some artist photos are loaded from third-party image servers (such as Google/YouTube image servers), and film pages may show images from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over how they handle data.

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will list the providers here and, where required, ask for your consent first. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

TamiltoLyrics is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
