துன்மார்க்கருடைய பொருளையோ அகற்றிவிடுகிறார்.3.The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.4.சோம்பற்கையால் வேலைசெய்கிறவன் ஏழையாவான்; சுறுசுறுப்புள்ளவன் கையோ செல்வத்தை உண்டாக்கும்.4.He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.5.கோடைகாலத்தில் சேர்க்கிறவன் புத்தியுள்ள மகன்; மூடனுடைய வாய்க்குக் கேடு சமீபித்திருக்கிறது.14.Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.15.ஐசுவரியவானுடைய பொருள் அவனுக்கு அரணான பட்டணம்; ஏழைகளின் வறுமையோ அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணும்.15.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.16.நீதிமானுடைய பிரயாசம் ஜீவனையும், துன்மார்க்கனுடைய விளைவோ பாவத்தையும் பிறப்பிக்கும்.16.The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.17.புத்திமதிகளைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் ஜீவவழியில் இருக்கிறான்; கண்டனையை (கண்டிப்பை) வெறுக்கிறவனோ மோசம்போகிறான்.17.He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.18.பகையை மறைக்கிறவன் பொய்உதடன்; புறங்கூறுகிறவன் மதிகேடன்.18.He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.19.சொற்களின் மிகுதியில் பாவமில்லாமற்போகாது; தன் உதடுகளை அடக்குகிறவனோ புத்திமான்.19.In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.20.நீதிமானுடைய நாவு சுத்தவெள்ளி; துன்மார்க்கனுடைய மனம் அற்பவிலையும் பெறாது.20.The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.21.நீதிமானுடைய உதடுகள் அநேகரைப் போஷிக்கும்; மூடரோ மதியீனத்தினால் மாளுவார்கள்.21.The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.22.கர்த்தரின் ஆசீர்வாதமே ஐசுவரியத்தைத் தரும்; அதனோடே அவர் வேதனையைக் கூட்டார்.22.The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.23.தீவினைசெய்வது மூடனுக்கு விளையாட்டு; புத்திமானுக்கோ ஞானம் உண்டு.23.It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.24.துன்மார்க்கன் பயப்படும் காரியம் அவனுக்கு வந்து நேரிடும்; நீதிமான் விரும்புகிற காரியம் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.24.The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.25.சுழல்காற்று கடந்துபோவதுபோல் துன்மார்க்கன் கடந்துபோவான்; நீதிமானோ நித்திய அஸ்திபாரமுள்ளவன்.25.As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.26.பற்களுக்குக் காடியும், கண்களுக்குப் புகையும் எப்படியிருக்கிறதோ, அப்படியே சோம்பேறியும் தன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர்களுக்கு இருக்கிறான்.26.As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.27.கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் ஆயுசுநாட்களைப் பெருகப்பண்ணும்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய வருஷங்களோ குறுகிப்போம்.27.The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.28.நீதிமான்களின் நம்பிக்கை மகிழ்ச்சியாகும்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய அபேட்சையோ அழியும்.28.The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.29.கர்த்தரின் வழி உத்தமர்களுக்கு அரண், அக்கிரமக்காரருக்கோ கலக்கம்.29.The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.30.நீதிமான் என்றும் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; துன்மார்க்கர் பூமியில் வசிப்பதில்லை.30.The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.31.நீதிமானுடைய வாய் ஞானத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும்; மாறுபாடுள்ள நாவோ அறுப்புண்டுபோம்.31.The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.32.நீதிமான்களுடைய உதடுகள் பிரியமானவைகளைப் பேச அறியும்; mootanutaiya vaykkuk ketu sameepiththirukkirathu.14.Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.15.aisuvariyavanutaiya porul avanukku aranana pattanam; ezhaikalin varumaiyoo avarkalaik kalangkappannum.15.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.16.neethimanutaiya pirayasam jeevanaiyum, thunmarkkanutaiya vilaivoo pavaththaiyum pirappikkum.16.The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.17.puththimathikalaik kaththukkollukiravan jeevavazhiyil irukkiran; kantanaiyai (kantippai) verukkiravanoo moosampookiran.17.He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.18.pakaiyai maraikkiravan poyuthatan; purangkoorukiravan mathiketan.18.He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.19.sorkalin mikuthiyil pavamillamarpookathu; than uthatukalai atakkukiravanoo puththiman.19.In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.20.neethimanutaiya navu suththavelli; thunmarkkanutaiya manam arpavilaiyum perathu.20.The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.21.neethimanutaiya uthatukal anekaraip pooshikkum; mootaroo mathiyeenaththinal maluvarkal.21.The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.22.karththarin aaseervathame aisuvariyaththaith tharum; athanoote avar vethanaiyaik koottar.22.The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.23.theevinaiseyvathu mootanukku vilaiyattu; puththimanukkoo nyanam untu.23.It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.24.thunmarkkan payappatum kariyam avanukku vanthu neritum; neethiman virumpukira kariyam avanukkuk kotukkappatum.24.The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.25.suzhalkarru katanthupoovathupool thunmarkkan katanthupoovan; neethimanoo niththiya asthiparamullavan.25.As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.26.parkalukkuk katiyum, kankalukkup pukaiyum eppatiyirukkirathoo, appatiye soomperiyum thannai anuppukiravarkalukku irukkiran.26.As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.27.karththarukkup payappatuthal aayusunatkalaip perukappannum; thunmarkkarutaiya varushangkaloo kurukippoom.27.The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.28.neethimankalin nampikkai makizhssiyakum; thunmarkkarutaiya apetsaiyoo azhiyum.28.The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.29.karththarin vazhi uththamarkalukku aran, akkiramakkararukkoo kalakkam.29.The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.30.neethiman enrum asaikkappatuvathillai; thunmarkkar poomiyil vasippathillai.30.The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.31.neethimanutaiya vay nyanaththai velippatuththum; marupatulla navoo aruppuntupoom.31.The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.32.neethimankalutaiya uthatukal piriyamanavaikalaip pesa ariyum; thunmarkkarutaiya vayoo marupatullathu.32.The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
